Mapuata Cédric Makiadi
Born 23 February 1984 in Kinshasa, is a Congolese international footballer who plays in Germany for SC Freiburg.
Early lifeAlthough he was born in DR Congo, Makiadi and his family moved to Germany when he was eight years of age.
International:
There were calls for Makiadi to be called up to the German national side, and he even rejected a call to the Congolese national side for the African Cup of Nations, furthering speculation that he was in line for a call up. However, on 17 February 2007, Makiadi announced he was declaring for the DR Congo. PersonalCedric has two brothers who are also football players: Fabrice Makiadi played for SSV Reutlingen and Matondo Makiadi for Eintracht Trier II.
